Wooden splinter deep inside my toe, what do I do?

Do I try to dig it out? Do I leave it alone and wait for my skin to grow and push it out?

Ahhhh dude...this happens to me from time to time....I first try to use a pair of finger nail or toenail clippers and try to clip off some of the skin theat is over the splinter....not a lot of skin just a thin layer ....besides if it is the bottom of the foot...most of the skin is dead already and if you can remove the surface skin it shouldnt hurt...remove the skin over the splinter so that u can see at least a small piece of the splinter sticking out...Then u need a pair if tweezers...or small nosed pliers and grab the splinter and carefully but firmly pull it out...(pay special attention to the angle of the splinters entry....and when You try to pull it out make sure that you are pulling out at the same angle as the splinter entered).....And here is a plan B........If you are old enough to drink alcohol.....get totally plastered off of some strong liquer and just rip that splinter out.....Trust me ...you wont feel a thing if you are drunk enough.........Although your foot will hurt like something fierce for the next week......My final advive is to try the first approach and leave the plan B approach to a situation when u absolutle cannot do anything else about it
