How much is my drum set worth?
It's a wine-coloured tama swingstar set with snare, tom-toms, floor tom, bass, ride, crash, and high hat. The toms are double-headed. The cymbals are zildjan. I paid $750 for just the set about five years ago and haven't played them in a long time and now I want to sell them.
Stool and a carry case of various kinds of drumsticks included. This wasn't included in the original purchase price.
Current retail for a brand new Swingstar is between $650-$750.
If the drums are in really good condition, you could set your asking price @ $550 and that'd be fair.
The cymbals are a different matter. It depends on what kind of Zildjian cymbals they are and their size. For example, an 18 inch A-Custom crash, brand new, will cost around $200-$225. A used one, in really good condition, could see between $100-$160.
The throne is the same. If it's an EZ-drum throne, it's not going to be worth what a Pork-Pie throne would be.
If you want to make the most out of your set and get as much as possible for it, clean it up, put new head's on everything, and try to ebay them individually. Throw in the drumsticks for free. No-one wants to buy used drum sticks.
