my ipod and cell phone are water damaged ...?
okay so long story short, i went on splash mountain, thought the plastic bag i had in it would protect it, got off the ride, worked perfectly fine, got back to the hotel, both my ipod and phone didn't work.
anyways, so i turned my ipod on (i didn't know not to turn it on! don't yell at me please ]:) anyways, so i turned it on while it was still wet... and then it turned off and then i heard like a sizzle noise... so i think my ipod is fried now :S anyways, so back to my phone... i have it set out right now to dry... if i just leave it, will it dry and be able to still work? ooor will i have to replace it? it wasn't that wet... there was some water in the backing... but that's about it.
rice won't work :S i'm in a hotel room.
i didn't turn the phone on. i put the battery on and it turned it's self on...
i get this weird message when it goes on though.
If you turned it on while it was wet, It probably shorted out the wires in the Ipod and cell phone. They are probably both ruined. Even if you do let them dry out, drying out won't fix the wires If they are shorted out.
You can try just leaving them alone for 3 or 4 days and try them again. If not you will have to buy a new Ipod and cell phone. The warranty's probably do not cover water damage since that is the users fault, not the company's.
