I am currently borrowing cymbals from friend and really need my own...which ones should i buy?
So i found a decent pack on musician's friend (whom i love dearly) of Zildjian A customs 20" ride, 16" crash, 18" fast crash, and 14" hats for $710. Great deal. I have listened to many cymbals at my local music stores and i liked the A customs, but not so much the hats but i can deal, plus i get a free bag and useless bar stool. I'm not too keen on buying a cymbal pack or set but i cannot pass up the value. Any other ideas? Other decent packs that have proven for loyal rocking? or any other cymbal ideas? Keep in mind i need value, I'm not a rich man. But i do have a 20% off coupon for m.friend that expires end of this month and happen to be in a purchasing mood.
I had that 20% coupon, too. I used it on a 16" Gretsch floor tom.
As for the cymbals, get the A Custom pack. If you find a set of hi-hats you like better just sell yours off and buy the new set. You are getting a sweet deal with the 20% off of $700!
Look for any A Custom cymbal packs that come with an extra crash or china cymbals, that's an even better deal.
