What could be wrong with my 2001 Lincoln Town Car?

The oil light will stay on well after being started. I checked the fluid and everything is fine. I have a code reader that I hooked it up to and it couldn't find anything.....Every winter this happens. It acts normal when it is warmer out....???

Also, the power adjustable pedals aren't working. I'm not sure if it's the motor or the switch. I touch the switch and it will move down but not in a smooth motion...more sporatic. Same thing when I hit the up button.

The final thing is that the outside temperature reading on the climate control is about 15 degrees off in the wintertime. During the summer it seems fairly accurate. The hardest part was trying to convince my local Ford dealer that it needed to be callibrated. It will say it's 40 degrees outside when it's 25.

To your multiple problems. Here are my suggestions-

- Check the oil sending unit. It is located near the part were the oil filter attaches to the car. The oil light (dummy light) going off only during cold weather is a good sign that you have low oil pressure, and the oil sending unit is the main culprit. It's a cheap item to replace.

-Your motor/actuator is more than likely going bad, but double check that the contacts in your switch are also good, but the fact that you say your motor still works tells me it's more than likely the motor/actuator. but also check your connections, maybe the wiring is loose.

-Check to see that your t-stat is where it's supposed to be, it may be too close to the engine, thereby giving you false readings in the winter time, but not the summer. But I suspect your T-stat is not loose, but rather it's faulty and it will probably need to be replaced. If your T-stat checks out, and if you have an EATC (Electronic Air Temp Control) it's the unit with a digital face with push buttons and a disc/dial on the bottom rather than two knobs to control the temp, and fan speed. The EATC may be bad but I doubt it since you'll probably be having other issues with your climate control.
