Can anyone help me with the name of a musical instrument (probably indonesian in origin)?
It's about 8 inches in diameter, circular with a convex back and made of wood. The flat face has a hole in it, like a guitar does.
There are about 7 metal 'keys' on the flat face that you pluck with your thumb and it makes a "plinky" sound.
That's the best I can do in terms of description. The one I saw was handcrafted in Bali...any ideas?
It's a Karimba.
