I want to start a 'green club' at my junior high school, any tips? how-to's?
I'm a sophomore in high school and I am concerned about my school massive carbon footprint and I decided to start a "GREEN CLUB", any tips for a beginner? any how-to's?

To start with, why not collect cans, plastics, paper, glass etc and recycle it. My city has a group of children that would collect phone books etc and with the money they got from recycling they would put the money in their school fund for activities. Maybe you can do something like this with cans, paper goods etc. Also, try to get someone to make home made shopping bags for you to sell. This would go over well with women. We like things that are pretty and it would help cut back on using paper and plastic bags. Change light bulbs at home to energy saving ones. Unplug things that are not in use because they still use electricity even if off.
