Wats the difference between fender stratocaster and fender starcaster?
i thought starcasters were the ones with litle curl designs at the sides but i looked at the fender strat and the fender starcaster and they are exactly alike!! wats the difference between the 2?
The Stratocaster is a high end guitar made by Fender Musical Instruments in Ensenado, Mexico or Corona, California. It is a professional instrument with a floating spring-loaded tremelo bridge and three ceramic or alnico magnet single coil pickups. The wood on the body is alder, while the neck is either maple or maple with a rosewood fretboard.
The Starcaster is a guitar manufactured by a contract supplier for Fender in China. It is made of inexpensive woods (like basswood, only one step up from balsa wood) and a lower grade tremelo system. This is not a professional instrument, and is not the kind of instrument which will last for decades (which any Stratocaster will.)
