Painting a Bass Drum Head?
I don't have the money to get it professionally done (If I had a nickel every time I heard that, I WOULD have enough.) but I would like to put a logo on my bass drum head. How could I go about safely and cheaply doing this?
Get a white coated or black suede head so the paint will stick. Use a utility knife or exacto knife to cut a stencil out of blank sticker-sheet or strips of tape side by side. Duct tape, masking tape, and painter's tape should all work. Put the stencil on the head, put the head on the ground horizontally so the paint won't drip, and coat it with a few light coats of spray paint.
