What would be a good drum kit for me at an affordable price?
I've been playing for a few years now and I really want to upgrade to a better set. I play hardcore/screamo stuff and prefer a 4 piece set. I've been looking online at guitarcenter.com, but I'm not sure which brand would be the best. And as for price, I can pay around $750. Also, I already have all the cymbals and hardware I'll need, so I just need to buy a shell pack.
I've been thinking of buying the ddrum Dominion Ash Pocket Shell Pack, but I'm not sure. It's $500.
It comes with a 20" x 20" Bass Drum, 12" x 8" Rack Tom, 14" x 12", 16" x 12" floor toms, and 7" x 13" snare.
Those are some odd measurements but what the heck?
Drums are great because you get what you pay for
I was a pearl exporrt guy now i wont play on them they are now a bunch of garbage But the more expensive lines are really doing well
ddrums maybe a decent line of stuff I never liked them but you may need to downsize everything when you have $750 no cymbals no accessories (Like bass pedal cymbal stands the extra 9 yards may hurt.)
DDrums maybe your best bet but you can't expect grest qualitty with $750
You may want to look at DWs (drum workshop) Just because I know very little about them and you may hit on something (i doubt that but you may wanty to check)
Bottom line $750 will not get you too much You may find some no name stuff and do well you never know
Or rather $500 isa strech . Drumsare expensive thiings msay want to cut out the pocket shells to put in for a better line. (I found special ways around trsansportation which i dont know iif i have the availble space to inform you )
