How do I go about recording music professionally, yet on a tight budget?

I've written about 20 songs that I want to record and put about 14 on a CD professionally. What is the best way to go about this as far as getting the best product I can get for the least price?

My friend has a BOSS 1200CD Digital Recorder that I can use pretty much any time I want.

The music is mainly on my acoustic guitar, there are a few that I want to do with an electric, bass, and drums.
I also have a BOSS Metal Zone II pedal for my electric. As far as the mic, he has a pretty decent one for like pre-production and stuff.

for software I'd use Krystal Audio Engine because it's free and has support for plugins and has a mixer.

If you don't have an effects pedal for the electric you may want to get one, I'd avoid the plastic digital ones because they break alot.
Also make sure you get a decent microphone for signing and/or acoustic guitar.

The best route for the acoustic is to get a pickup and run it to a line in. You'll get the best quality this way, oh and record your music in the most uncompressed format that you can because it will be higher quality.
