Rock Band 2 Special Edition Package?
I was wondering if the new Rock Band 2 Special Edition Package (Xbox 360) comes with the new drum set (the one with cymbals/metal reinforced foot pedal).
Anybody know?
I got the RB2 drum kit (360 version) on Sept 15th (day after release) and it kicks RB1's drum kit in the fanny..
The Rock Band 2 SE band kit will come with the new drums.. Improvements include:
---Softer, more responsive "velocity-sensitvie" drum pads. (Much quieter than RB1, you don't have to hit them as hard to register all the notes and they're alot easier to drum roll on.)
---Metal-reinforced kick pedal. (Now I can play with my shoes on without worrying about snapping it.)
---It's wireless! (If you have kids, dogs, or friends with mild-to-moderate substance abuse issues, you have to appreciate wireless! lol)
---It has jacks for add-on cymbals (up to three!) but they're not included.. They're actually sold by MadCatz and will be available on or around Oct 30th.. I think they'll be sold in the following versions: one cymbal ($19.99), two-cymbal pack ($29.99) and three-cymbal kit ($39.99).. They will also be velocity-sensitive and customizable..
And before you ask, the cymbals do not add notes to the fret board.. There are still only four.. They only add "realism" to the drum kit for those who really want to rock.. With the add-on cymbals, you'll still have your (red) snare and (blue, part-time) tom-tom but for crash and hi-hat (green and yellow) you'll be able to hit the cymbals instead.. ***Don't quote me on this though because I haven't gotten my hands on the hardware yet so this information is all semi-well-educated guesswork.***
