Why don't my headlights work?
I own a 1996 Ford Mustang Cobra. 90k miles. Recently (a week ago) I went to drive at night to discover that my dims don't work. When I turn on the brights only one (the left) headlight comes on. The fog lights also don't turn on.
I have replaced the headlight switch, no change. I then tried replacing the Turn Signal Lever Assembly to find I still have the same problem. I have checked every fuse a million times over and this problem is driving me nuts. Any solutions to try out would be helpful.
- Haven't tried changing bulbs yet. That's my next step. Will give updates tomorrow after I try that out.
Ok, I replaced the bulbs to the headlights. They now work on both dim and brights. The right bulb had both filaments burnt out and the left one was fine, however still didn't work on dim.
Still don't know whats wrong with my fog lights. Will check the bulbs tomorrow to replace them. Thanks to those who helped me out.
have you tried changing all lights in front to see some cars tend to do that when one burns it affects the others and the order they should work
