What you want are to look at grow reports/grow logs/trip reports. each marijuana forum will have a search engine so you can find applicable threads.
a general rule of thumb is indica is more of a body feeling and sativa is more of a head thing. but most commercially available seeds are a combination of the two so you have to really search around if you want a pure blood.
a famous name for indica is the Kush family. one for sativa is Haze; usually it is called a certain variety of haze.
